What to Call Teacher
The Batavia School District is making a big fuss about one teacher’s personal issues. Apparently it calls for public meetings, letters to parents, and a great deal of media kerfluffle.
You see, Mister [somebody] wants to be Ms. [somebody]. Snip, snip and all that.
So far, what’s been planned are a meeting for parents only, a community meeting, and group discussions with students on the first day of school. Meanwhile, Mister [somebody] is probably screaming someplace “All I wanted was a big pair of tits!”
I shouldn’t make fun of this poor man’s situation. The last time I satirized transsexuals I got a lot of nasty comments. But… don’t you think the school district is overreacting just a mite? I mean, it’s not like he’s gonna have his balls cut off in class or anything.
It really is overreaction on the part of the school district. And, I truly do not believe this person’s lot in life will be improved by all the public attention and media play. No need to hide it, but, golly, overkill anyone?
