What Is Going On?
I am in process of recovering from a nasty bug, which seems to have aggravated a pre-existing and undiscovered condition.
Went through a stomach bug last week. Severe headache all day Wednesday, beginning 2 am on Thurs went to nasty, bed messing, and about 2 pm on to projectile vomiting. By late that evening had temp of 102 and could keep nothing down.
Worse case scenario, I needed medical treatment. Best case, I was being a baby. Well, I have never been that sick. Never even close. So, took an ambulance trip to Unity-Parkridge and the long emergency room process. Released in early am Friday after IV, CAT scan and with diet instructions.
Still lethargic, still bloated, very hungry since diet is basically rice and juice and stuff I cannot eat because of gluten or lactose. CAT scan apparently showed Ileitis, which seems to be code for Crone’s disease.
MD appointment tomorrow morning. Parkridge was not so commutative so hopefully Dr. Cutey will have more answers for me. I suspect that I am screwed one way or another and will have to have more attention and more treatment for bowels. Yay, me! [/sarcasm]
I am caffeine free for the first time in a long while. Withdrawal took place under illness so did not notice so much. I can feel the need, especially with the overwhelming lethargy.
