Transit Strike
I have to comment on the transit strike in New York City. We have a number of site in the city, and this is a real pain in the ass. Our $11 dollar an hour employees are so screwed by these over-paid primadonnas. We’re doing what we can to assist their additional costs, but… what say the mayor fires the whole lot of them and hires people who wnat to work for a living?
This is the classic example of why unions have lost ground in the last 30 years. Most union members now are paid by government, schools, etc. Governmental employment is the last bastion of unionism. Why? Overpaid and underworked.
I’ll bet we could locate a bunch of former New Orleans residents who can drive buses or run the throttle of a subway train.
