They’re Not SAND Traps
Yet another proof that golf is an addiction.
A soldier’s mother is helping to collect donations to give her son and fellow soldiers. Mary Hynes is collecting old golf balls and golf clubs.
The Brooklea Country Cub manager got the idea after her son, Army Staff Sergeant Edward Hynes, sent her an e-mail.
“The guys got talking and they thought oh, wouldn’t it be nice if we could play golf and he said, gee, I think my mom might be able to help us with that,” Hynes said.
Hynes has also contacted other local courses. So far she has collected dozens of clubs and hundreds of balls.
She hopes to start sending the supplies to Iraq starting next week.
