Here is a brief discussion of the swine flu situation in select states. The CDC is no longer publicly tracking case numbers. July 24, 2009 is the last day that CDC is providing individual confirmed and probable cases of novel H1N1 influenza. Here are some media reports from the overnight. Delaware Online All 10 Delaware cases that are consistent with — but not confirmed as — swine flu were reported among students at the University of Delaware in Newark, where more than 350 students were seen by health professionals at two clinics Wednesday. No information about the ages, residences or whereabouts of the 10 patients was released Wednesday, but all were given Tamiflu antiviral medication and told to stay home. Silver City Sun-News New Mexico has two probable cases of swine flu and state officials are awaiting confirmation of testing from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Gov. The news media is full of reports of possible, probable and confirmed cases throughout the United States. The CDC updated its numbers last about two hours ago. U.S. Human Cases of Swine Flu Infection (As of April 28, 2009 11:00 AM ET) State # of laboratory confirmed cases California 10 cases Kansas 2 cases New York City 45 cases Ohio 1 case Texas 6 cases TOTAL COUNT 64 cases International Human Cases of Swine Flu Infection See: World Health Organization Indiana’s Health Department is reporting 1 case. California reports 1 more than the CDC. New Jersey is reporting 5 probable cases. Neither Florida or North Carolina currently have any swine flu cases reported on their website.
