National Guard Responds to Weather Disasters
About 3,000 National Guard members were responding to weather-related domestic disasters in 11 states on Friday (April 29), the majority in tornado-ravaged Alabama, while hundreds still tackled rising waters in North Dakota, epicenter of flooding challenging seven states. Kentucky Guard Delivers to Storm Victims
Kentucky National Guard troops are delivering record numbers of meals and bottled water as part of the relief effort supporting citizens affected by last week’s ice storm. “This is a huge undertaking on the part of the Kentucky Guard,” Air Force Maj.
