Joe Biden’s Kid Got Perks of Being Joe Biden’s Kid

Tuesday, September 9th, 2008

Paul Mirengoff at Power Line provides the following employment history for Beau Biden, Joe’s kid. You know, the son of the senior Senator from Deleware.

  1. 1994 [?] – graduated Syracuse Univ law school
  2. 1995 to 1997 – Counsel in the Office of Policy Development, U.S. Department of Justice
  3. 1997 to 2002 – Assistant U.S. Attorney, Philadelphia
  4. 2001 – passed Delaware bar exam on third try
  5. 2004 to 2007 – partner, Bifferato, Gentilotti, Biden & Balick, Wilmington Delaware
  6. 2007 to date – Delaware’s Attorney General

It is a curiously scant resume. Mirengoff can find no record that Beau ever passed the Pennsylvania bar, though he did pass the Maryland bar on the first try. The appearance is that he was given special consideration a number of times because of who he is and not what he has done.

Joe Biden on His Differences with Sarah Palin

Thursday, September 4th, 2008

Politico

Democrat Joe Biden, in what he intended as self-deprecating remark, observed, “There’s a gigantic difference between John McCain and Barack Obama and between me and I suspect my vice presidential opponent.” …

What do you suppose he said the difference was? Energy policy, executive experience, age?

“She’s good looking.”

That’s the gigantic difference between Joe Biden and Sarah Palin.

Joe, I know what you meant to say, and I don’t think it’s going to turn out to be gigantic at all. [/sarcasm]
