America lost one of its best on March 3, 2009. Spc. Jessica Sarandrea, 22, of Miami, was killed during a mortar attack, in Mosul, Iraq. Sarandrea, who graduated from Coral Gables High School, was stationed in Mosul, where she worked as a supply specialist performing logistical support for her battalion, said Alejandro ”Alex” Sarandrea, her husband.
