67 Terrorists Killed

ISF, CF take fight to terrorists Multi-National Division – Baghdad Soldiers killed 8 terrorists in a series of attacks March 27 in Baghdad. At 1:45 p.m., Soldiers from 1st Battalion, 68th Armor Regiment, were patrolling in Adhamiyah when one of their vehicles was struck by a rocket-propelled Grenade. Five minutes later, the patrol was attacked by small-arms fire. The Soldiers returned the attack with precision fire and killed one terrorist. One U.S. Soldier received a minor wound, but continued the mission. Iraqi Security Forces Battle Insurgents in Al Kut Iraqi security forces responded to enemy gunfire in the city of al Kut, March 25. In al Kut, fighting broke out in areas known as criminal strongholds, several hours after a curfew was imposed by ISF. Iraqi police maintain control of al Kut and continue to provide security for key infrastructure and residents despite reports of widespread violence, said Maj. Gen. Abd Al Hannin Hamud Faysal, Wasit Provincial Director of Police. The IPs continue to man their stations and checkpoints.
