Remembering Her Brother in Marez

She fidgeted with her black bracelet showing a black and white portrait of a man wearing dark sunglasses inscribed with a date and some words. Underneath her uniform, she wears a cross concealing within it, a vial of ashes. She smiled as she said, “I am a walking memorial of my brother.” Capt. Linda A.
