Stay Bought, Barry

Wednesday, September 24th, 2008

Only one Senator has garnered more contributions from the fine folks at Freddie and Fannie than Barry Obama. The crisis in Washington seems almost certain to result in changes at those two companies.

Barry Obama stands for good jobs for Americans. The people who work at Freddie and Fannie have good jobs in America. Very good jobs. Barry, you need to preserve their jobs. Do it for America, Barry.

Go back to Washington. Help your contributors. Stay bought, Barry!

Thursday, August 28th, 2008

Here’s a sample of the tweets:

  • When will Barry promise a chicken in every pot?
  • this is supposed to be uplifting?? i’m depressed.
  • This speech is making me really really really not like Obama. He hates the free market
  • Obama: Big government is the answer. We’ll even buy you boots!
  • dude, I like you, just please don’t raise my taxes!
  • Obama doesn’t speak for this military family. HE can explain his position and Clinton’s to my Gold Star Daughter. No way, no how, NOBAMA
  • People around me are crying and sobbing
  • There seems a disconnect from Obama to the audience because they are so damn far away from him….unlike on the stump
  • This is not what I was hoping for. Harhar.
  • sorry. I don’t find Obama moving or inspiring. Just another speech
  • Did Barack just announce support for Drill Here Drill Now?
  • Payouts to the auto companies. Detroit breathes a sigh of relief.
  • Uh, ok. so he’s for good schools, clean water, and more jobs. Lots of fluff, no substance. But it sounds good.
  • There’s a Jed Bartlet speech in here somewhere in those last few lines
  • Appealing to xenophobic undercurrent of dependency on “oil from the Middle East” is popular but wrong. Most US oil comes from non-ME sources

5 Reasons NOT to Vote For Obama

Friday, June 6th, 2008

1. He’s not African American. Not in the way Americans define the term.

He grew up in Indonesia and Hawaii, as atypical a black American childhood as it is possible to have. He was raised by his white mother and his white grandmother. Again, atypical. He is a graduate of Columbia University and Harvard Law, not your usual places where black Americans are educated.

His life experience is unlike that of black America in so many ways that it is fair to say that Obama shares nothing with those Americans who struggled through slavery and segregation.

Barack Obama is a poseur, not a black American.

2. He’s a lawyer and lifetime politician. Americans have a healthy distrust of lawyers and those who spend their lives in politics.

Obama has never worked in a factory, or sold cars, or swept offices. He entire work experience has been as a politician or someone living off the largesse of politics.

Barack Obama has nothing in common with American workers.

3. He’s wealthy. A wealthy politician.

Americans do not pay their politicians well. We do not create rich men and women in our service. Yet, Obama has grown wealthy in his years in politics.

Barack Obama is richer than 95% of Americans. And he did it working in politics and for non-profits. Americans distrust people that get rich in this manner.

4. He is young and inexperienced.

If we must have a politician, Americans prefer one who has been one for decades. Experienced politicians know how the system works. They know how to operate within the system. They are familiar with the topics that they deal with.

Barack Obama is a neophyte. From not knowing what language they speak in Afghanistan to not being familiar with the problems of nuclear waste, he is ignorant and that is reason enough for Americans to question his candidacy.

5. He hangs around with an evil crowd.

Americans believe that you can tell alot about a man by the friends he keeps. From terrorist like Bill Ayers, to hate mongers like Jerry Wright, to crooks like Tony Rezko, Barack Obama has a great many unsavory friends.

Americans looks at the friends of Obama and wonder what that says about his moral character.
