Sadr’s Revolt 3-27-2008
Terrorists launch eleven indirect fire attacks MND-B Soldiers engaged and killed two terrorists spotting for the indirect fire attacks. Then, the Soldiers were attacked by rockets and small arms fire. There were no U.S. casualties. At approximately 1:20 p.m., a CF patrol was struck by an improvised explosive device in the eastern Bagdad district of New Baghdad. The attack wounded three U.S. Soldiers. The Soldiers were evacuated to a Coalition hospital. Despite recent activities, Coalition forces are conducting routine operations. Contrary to some reports, Coalition forces are not shutting off utilities to Sadr City.
