Swine Flu Weekend Update – United States May 30 2009
Here are the latest swine flu or novel H1N1 case counts. The CDC numbers are from 11 am on May 29. The state numbers are from their various websites and marked with the date that they were posted to the site.
Lost cases is the difference in the totals between the CDC count and the various states. The most striking error is California and I have been advised via e-mail that the CDC is looking into the problem. The CDC has listed the same case count for California since May 18.
More states are no longer posting their counts. Wisconsin and Washington are the most disturbing of the states choosing to do so. Both have large scale outbreaks ongoing. By no longer providing counts, they are reducing the information available to both medical professionals and the public.
You have to admire Arkansas for using almost exclusively CDC content. Why waste time and effort on local information when national information will do?
