When do fellows like this, or even the American heroes, get recognised by the mainstream for their actions? Never. I remember a story about an Afghani town meeting, Coalition forces outside the building, looking for trouble as villagers enter. Then one man mkes a rush for the building, displaying the signs of a suicide bomber. Some random villager reacts, tackles the man to the ground, and the bomb detonates away from the crowd. Then man hs saved the lives of dozens of people, Afghani and Coalition. It's not just about the West winning hearts and minds! It is about brave folks such as these winning the hearts and minds of the Westerners! I don't want Khalaf Ibrahim Ali lying dead in the street of a new Lebanon. Brilliant article.
