I’ve done a little reseach on the subject and found out there are 6 secret locations around the country with stockpiles of medicines, respirators, gloves, etc. – mostly intended for ‘first responders.’ The locations are secret because they are afraid that if a flu becomes seriously pandemic that they will be stormed. Their plan is to fly the supplies into major population centers – with assumption that flight controllers will be on duty. If we have a Spanish Flu of 1918 all over again I worry the most about our just-in-time food supplies – who will shop for you? who will sell you food? will the stores have food after the first 2 weeks? Also when it comes to basic services will the water/sewer systems be working? But, so far so good as far as Avian Flu is concerned.
