BOSTON (July 1, 2008) Quartermaster Seaman Amy Hover, assigned to the multi-purpose amphibious assault ship USS Bataan (LHD 5), takes bearings as the ship enters port in Boston. Bataan is in Boston participating in the 27th annual Boston Harborfest 2008, a six-day long Fourth of July Festival showcasing the colonial and maritime heritage of the cradle of the American Revolution.   1. I just have to say, “THIS IS MY DAUGHTER AND I AM SO PROUD!!” I wasn’t thrilled when she joined the Navy, but it was a wonderful decision. She has matured and blossomed into such a confident, beautiful woman. She has a very important job aboard the USS Bataan and although she stays busy and always seems to be exhausted, she can be proud of all she has accomplished.
