The USS Kearsarge and other United States military units and military personnel are continuing their relief efforts in Haiti. Southern Command has a site devoted to the efforts.

Air Force engineers and Navy Seabees embarked aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Kearsarge (LHD 3) inspect a bridge in a small community between Cabaret and Cazales that was damaged by Hurricane Ike. Kearsarge has departed Haiti for Naval Station Guantanamo Bay, Cuba to resupply, but has left a small contingent of service members to continue relief operations.
