Michael Monsoor - Hero

It looks like Fumento’s report last weekend caught the brass off guard. We know that he has been awarded the Medal of Honor, but no “official” statement about the award has been made yet.

He also earned a Silver Star for rescuing a fellow SEAL a couple of months before his death.

Wouldn’t it be nice if DoD got its collective shit together and made some sort of announcement? While most of the planet is oblivious to this story, those of us who follow our heroes are a little peeved at the way this is being handled.

  1. I’m thankful for this website, honoring one of our best heroes: Michael Monsoor. Though I didn’t know him, I read about him on Presidential Prayer Team website; that President Bush is to award the Medal of Honor to him(posthumously) on 4/8/08.

  2. As Pres. Bush honors Petty Officer Monsoor, we will be there in a spirit of gratitude for his heroism and shared lose of his family. Our five Marines gave some, but Michael Monsoor gave all.
May God fold him into His everlasting wings.

  3. I thought you’d be interested in my article about the MOH award, by the only reporter who covered both it and Monsoor in the war.
