Both men were awarded the second highest military decoration for valor in November. Jackson on November 2 and Yoakum on November 11.
As we write and complain about the lack of medals being awarded for bravery in the War on Terror, let’s recall that the medals that are awarded to the men and women who perform heroic actions in combat are rarely discussed in the media.
