Marching for Peace in Iraq
Tribal leaders answered the Mahmudiyah Qada mayor’s call for their support in bringing tribes together for a march that began in a southern Mahmudiyah neighborhood and ended at a government building north of the Mahmudiyah market.
“The people must support the government of Iraq in order to be successful as individuals,†said Mayor Jabbar Farraj Mullah al Chalabi during the gathering. “It is everyone’s duty as a citizen to obey the law and keep peace.â€

A peaceful demonstration in support of the government of Iraq was held in Jurf as Sakhr, Iraq, on April 3.
As many residents stood outside with flags and banners, the town mayor, Sheik Sabbah, stood in front of his community to tell the people they must unite and not forget that with peace comes progress.
