I wouldn’t expect anything less. It affirms the man that you are, the man that I know and love. I thank God for you, and others like you, who have the courage and fight in them that allow them to do remarkable, heroic acts such as this.

  12. WoW! I am so proud of you! What you did to receive this honor was one of the most unselfish and heroic acts that anyone can do, a true example of strength & honor. Wear the medal proudly for it has not been handed to you in a silver platter, it was earned by you thru your blood, sweat & guts. May the Lord bless you and the US forces. I hope to see you soon.

    Love you,

  20. How amazing to see what God has done in your life. To have known you when you were just a kid with an entire zoo in your bedroom and to see you now as a man standing on what you believe, we are encouraged and give God the glory because of you. Thank you for serving us this way.

  22. Larry,
WOW! I am at a loss for words (surprising I know)to express how proud I am of you. Just think — you were my “favorite soldier” even before you were a hero! Seriously, I stand in awe at the bravery of men like you and your fellow soldiers. Thank you for making our world a safer place. I know God will continue to protect you. After all, I am on about the sixth class of kids praying for you! I am looking forward to seeing you.
    Love,

  24. Dear Noah,
Just one example of the many brave and courageous acts you and your fellow soldiers have selflessly portrayed. To risk your life for your fellow man is what Christ has called us to do, and especially on June 22, when you saved the Iraqi man from his burning car, you put His words in action. I am sure that there have been many other times in the last seven years of serving your Country when you deserved recognition for your bravery, congratulations on recieving this Soldier’s Medal. May God continue to watch over you and protect you and give you and your fellow soldiers the peace of mind that you have a HUGE cheering section back here at home!
    God Bless,
    Mrs. Mojica

  25. Hey Dear Larry! What an amazing thing! We pray for you continually at church and try to keep up on your activities over there…How wonderful that you really show your love and compassion for mankind everyday as you serve the Lord in IRAQ. I’ve always been proud of you and know that you are a very special young man. We in the states find it hard to express our gratitude for the amazing things all of our troops are accomplishing over there. You have a big fan club here even BEFORE you were decorated with this prestigeous award. Thank you Larry for being such an amazing soldier and friend to us who love you in the states. We are sooooooooooooo proud of you!
Much love and a big hug your way! Blessings to my favorite soldier! Julie Waren :)

  27. Hi Larry,
Your Mom just showed me this article and I have to join so many others in saying how proud I am of you, and how grateful we all are that there are people like you in this world to protect us and all our loved ones. What you did was such an act of courage and love that it truly shows the character you have. We all can’t wait until you come back to Miami to visit, and your Mom had better bring you in here to see us!
We are all praying for your safe return.
