Bush in Anbar
Steve Schippert at NRO says it best:
I do not know whether characterizing President Bush’s surprise visit to Anbar province represents a moment with the significance of a Gettysburg moment. Perhaps, perhaps not.
But who could blame President Bush if he quietly internalizes this trip as his own personal Mt. Suribachi moment, raising his standard on ground once given up for lost, yet finally secured in the face of relentless opposition seemingly from all quarters, foreign and domestic?
