MEMO TO NEW YORK STATE VOTERS: When you vote for Governor, please look for your candidate’s name on a line other than Republican or Democrat. The placing of parties for the Presidential election, and their very inclusion on the ballot is dependent u[pon the number of votes that they draw in the election for Governor. Parties like the Conservative Party rely on this placement to generate influence with the two major parties. If there is an alternative party with your candidate on its line, please consider voting there. The votes count toward the total for winning, and your vote helps strengthen the smaller parties of New York State.
TAXES
Taxes are your money. You pay them out to various levels of government. People you vote for spend your money. They are your employees.
If it is important that you pay fewer taxes, vote for people who will take fewer taxes from you. If the way that your money is spent is important to you, vote for people who will spend your money that way you want.
SECURITY
Everyone wants to be safe. We pay our employees to keep us safe. When you vote on Tuesday, vote for people who you believe will keep us safe.
ECONOMY
Our employees in government can do a lot to help or hurt the economy, and affect our jobs, our wages and the life we can lead. Vote for people who will improve your personal economy.
Ask yourself, when you choose who to vote for on Tuesday, who do I believe will be the best employees in government for me and my family?
The Republican controlled Congress and the Republican Administration have not been perfect. I believe they have earned your vote on Tuesday because the alternative does not meet the minimal standards you and I have for our employees when it comes to taxes, security and the economy. The Republicans are not running on a platform of raising taxes. The Republican Congress has lowered tax rates for everyone resulting in record tax revenues. The Republicans have passed several reforms in Congress that makes it easier for you and I to see how our money is spent. The Republicans continue to improve the security of the United States, with a border fence, with new weapons systems and with more money for our military. The Republicans have presided over near record job growth, record home ownership rates and record increases on income parity between men and women.
We are in a war, a war that our government tells us will be long and difficult. Those who oppose this war have used every trick that they can to suggest that our troops are stupid and lazy, that they are rapists and murderers, that those we have freed were better off under the horrific dictatorships we removed and that these regimes were no threat to us. Some in the media have told outright lies to us. Who deserves your vote during this war?
Ask yourself, when you choose who to vote for on Tuesday, who do I believe will be the best employees in government for me and my family?
