ISAF is aware of media reports that an operation in the Baram Cha area of southern Helmand in which a number of insurgents are reported to have been killed.

ISAF can confirm that an operation was conducted in that area the evening of October 12 against a small group of Taliban commanders.

After positively identifying these insurgents, ISAF attacked them with precision air strikes, killing the insurgents and destroying two of their vehicles.
