Here is the current data on swine flu or novel H1N1 illness in New York State and New York City.

Here are some swine flu or novel H1N1 case counts for select United States cities or metro areas. Missing reports are due to the state health authorities no longer posting counts on their websites.

It is worrisome that both Washington state and Wisconsin have ceased public reporting. Seattle, Milwaukee and Madison have large outbreaks of swine flu and that data would be useful.

Here are the latest swine flu or novel H1N1 case counts. The CDC numbers are from 11 am on May 29. The state numbers are from their various websites and marked with the date that they were posted to the site.

Whatever the name, swine flu, H1N1 or novel H1N1, the illness that has been spreading globally is cause for concern and preparation. Novel H1N1, the name used by the United States Centers for Disease Control, has appeared in over forty nations to date and new cases by the hundreds are being discovered daily.

Here are the swine flu / novel H1N1 case counts for the United States for today. The CDC numbers are from 11 am this morning. They have not updated the California count since May 18.

Lost cases are those cases counted by the state but not yet appearing in the CDC numbers. As demonstrated by the date and time stamps for the state reports, it would have been possible for the CDC to have obtained the correct data before issuing this report.

At the end of the multi-day mission the combined forces seized and destroyed 17,500 kilograms of opium, 38 kilograms of processed morphine, 201 kilograms of processed heroin, 200 pounds of hashish and 75,000 kilograms of poppy seeds, as well as narcotics processing materials and massive amounts of bomb-making material. The Lioness Program, established in 2004, stations female troops with Marine combat units. The Lioness members therefore play a vital role in security and the fight against terrorism, by searching females and children, since Muslim cultural tradition dictates that men are not permitted to look up nor touch females.
