Update on Real Life

My apologies to our readers. With the lovely wife’s trip to the emergency room last week and yesterday’s news, I have been well off my game. My wife’s brother, about 3-4 yrs older, was taken to the hospital on Sunday night and received a pacemaker today. He, and my 89 year old mother in law whom he now lives with are in the Lutheran homeland of North Dakota and we are so very far away.

It was a special day for the gathering of citizens and children from Saydiyah, a community located in the southern part of the Iraqi capital, as they gathered for the long-awaited official opening of a new playground in their neighborhood.

Alaskan Congressman Don Young attended a reception last night where he received an award from each of the following groups: Americans for Tax Reform, American Shareholders Association, Alliance for Worker Freedom, and the 60 Plus Association. These awards are based off of various votes that fall in line with the ideals of the individual groups.
