Bob Hope
Bob Hope, by all accounts, leads a quiet life at home with his wife of 75 years. Slower in movement, a little trouble with hearing and sight, but still Bob Hope. I watched two separate specials about Mr. Hope in the past week. Two things stuck in my mind more than anything else. Christmas after Christmas he and his troupe were out there, entertaining the troops. He was there for literally generations for our young men and women, far from home, risking their lives to keep us, and uncounted strangers free. Members of his troupe talked about the missed Christmases, and how their families dealt with it. The looks on their faces, the tone of their voices; there was something special about this. They looked upon it as a mission, a mitzvah, … Read entire article »

Canada’s Pooch Squeals During Screwing
More than 6,400 people, including 2,000 from the school, are now in quarantine in greater Toronto after Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome resurfaced six days ago. Before then, Toronto had thought it had beaten the disease — no new cases were reported from mid-April to mid-May. Health officials said a student at the school, located just north of Toronto, appeared to have symptoms of SARS, and that prompted the quarantine call. One of the student’s parents worked at Toronto’s North York General Hospital, epicenter of the latest outbreak. “The risk of getting SARS in this kind of setting (a school) is very low,” said Dr. Murray McQuigge, a physician in the region where the high school is located. “We are not aware of any other student in this school who is symptomatic right now.” The Toronto … Read entire article »

Jessica Lynch Rescue Real
The story by the Bullshit Broadcasting Corp (BBC) that the Lynch rescue was faked has been thoroughly debunked elsewhere. But if you need further proof, a local lad has returned from the Liberation of Iraq and says: “I just think that (allegation) is kind of funny,” Nick Stefanovic said. “I happen to know it wasn’t staged, obviously.” He declined further comment, saying he is not in a position to comment further on the military operation. From the Democrat and Chronicle. This whole story originated with anonymous sources, Iraqis that were believed without question, and total lack of knowledge about military equipment and operations. Typical of the Bullshit Broadcasting Corp. Even the original reporter admits he was wrong. HARRIS: Is it your belief right now based upon your investigation that this rescue of Lynch … Read entire article »

Communist China Still Lying About SARS
From the Times of London MEDICAL staff sought to hoodwink World Health Organisation (WHO) officials during emergency inspections of hospitals outside Beijing yesterday, amid concern over the spread of Sars among 700 million poorly protected peasants. China has promised full co-operation with the WHO after the country’s early attempts to hide the epidemic were exposed. But, despite a propaganda campaign calling for greater transparency, many officials continue to attempt cover-ups. China has almost 5,000 cases now and, if Sars spreads in the countryside, where modern medical facilities are not available, the epidemic may become impossible to contain. At the Infectious Disease Hospital in Baoding, in Hebei Province, staff began preparing for a WHO visit yesterday after notification from the Government. Police and security agents were on guard while staff undertook last-minute construction measures. One entrance … Read entire article »

They Only Want You to Vote
They Can’t Be bothered Rep. Dick Gephardt (D-Mo.) has missed 162 votes in the House this year – 85 percent of the total … Gephardt has missed every vote on energy-related issues this session. House records show Gephardt also missed votes on other issues that are frequent themes in his presidential candidacy, including welfare reform, human cloning, healthcare, homeland security, education and tax cuts… Other Democratic presidential aspirants also have missed votes, but to a lesser degree than Gephardt. Sen. John Kerry (D-Mass.) failed to add his voice in 63 instances this year, 34 percent of Senate votes. (Not included in this total are two votes he missed in February due to prostate surgery.) Last Thursday, when the Senate considered the House version of President Bush’s global AIDS initiative, Kerry used a floor … Read entire article »

Brigitte Bardot Speaks Out!
The 68 year old also has nothing good to say about Paris prostitutes. “Our lovely, kind street-walkers have been replaced by girls from the East, Nigerians, travellers, transsexuals, drag-queens, bearers of Aids and other friendly gifts. Having a risk-free go is becoming a real exploit.” From here. It’s been sixty years since there were Germans in Paris. Nobody appreciates a high quality French whore like a German soldier. “I’m against the Islamization of France…our grandfathers, our fathers gave their lives for centuries to chase all successive invaders out of France,” one excerpt said. Asked what passages shocked him, Tubiana said: “saying, for example, that Muslims can’t be French – that’s a real problem – or that Muslims are invading France, that Muslims are all terrorists. …This type of generalization is unacceptable.” Passages about Muslims, Tubiana contended, … Read entire article »

Belgians Charge Everyone with Crimes
but themselves Story here BRUSSELS (AFX) – Lawsuits filed in Belgium against US officials for alleged war crimes are “very serious” and could impact on travel arrangements of US officials, the chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff said. Responding to a lawsit expected to be filed tomorrow against the US commander in Iraq, General Tommy Franks, General Richard Myers said it would be up to diplomats to work out the exact consequences. But he said: “It’s looked upon by the US government as a very very serious situation… It is serious and it could clearly have an impact on where we gather.” A group of plaintiffs, mostly Iraqis, will file the suit tomorrow under a disputed Belgian “universal competence” law which allows charges to be brought regardless of where the alleged crimes took … Read entire article »

The Congo, Belgium’s Eternal Shame
Orgy of killing as Congo teeters on brink of genocide From the Telegraph Wielding machetes and rocket-launchers, hordes of tribal warriors and drug-crazed children marauded through the Congolese town of Bunia yesterday, unleashing an orgy of killing and forcing tens of thousands of terrified refugees across the Ugandan border. United Nations officials warned the Security Council that the crisis was potentially a genocide in the making, drawing parallels with Rwanda, where between 500,000 and one million people, mainly Tutsis, were killed by Hutus in 1994. “Bunia is on the verge of a humanitarian catastrophe,” UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan’s spokesman, Fred Eckhard, said. As the situation spiralled out of control, international humanitarian organisations evacuated 50 aid workers and their families from the town. There are 600 United Nations troops in Bunia, and they can’t do anything! Give … Read entire article »

Support Our Native American Brothers!
May 30th, 2003 | Comments Off
I’m gone, very shortly, to a company event being held at an Indian (non-Asian variety) owned casino, run by white folks. Other than the addition of scads of money to tribal treasuries, I’ve never understood the purpose of these. Most tribes are run rather similarly to Iraq, and the monies generated rarely appear to enrich the lives and persons of ordinary tribes folk. Who, of course, ought to have moved to the big city, gotten an education and a job long ago, but that’s another rant. This casino is run by a rather smallish tribe, though not as small as that tribe in Connecticut that was basically invented so that a casino could be built. And, of course, there are, what, two other variants of this particular tribe that are fighting … Read entire article »
