As the fire burned higher more people got involved in the rescue before the local fire department arrived on the scene. Through it all the training these Sailors received kicked in and helped them minimize the casualties. Though all the Sailors who rendered assistance are considered heroes by some, Love feels that it’s the only thing he could have done.
